This volume contains revised versions of papers presented at the International Symposium on Cooperative Database Systems for Advanced Applications (CODAS'99), which was held in Wollongong, Australia on March 27-28. The symposium provides a forum for exploring research, development and advanced applications of databases, especially cooperative databases and their applications.
