Tom O'Kell unwittingly becomes the focal point in a battle against the Devil, who seeks to thwart him and his allies. Alongside his cousins, Emily and Jake, they embark on a perilous adventure into The Otherworld, guided by the rhythm of The Shaman's Drum. They face terrifying creatures, such as the sabre-toothed fairies known as The Narcons, and confront the sinister Bildrogs and Miradons in a treacherous graveyard. Their journey is fraught with danger as they strive to save The Chosen One from a gruesome fate.
