Focusing on the intersection of gender and herbal practices, this study analyzes print vernacular herbals through the lens of female authorship. It highlights the rhetorical strategies employed by women in claiming herbal knowledge, supported by extensive archival research. The findings reveal new insights into women's ownership and contributions to medical texts, showcasing their significant role in the history of herbal medicine across different formats.
