The ‹Minerva‹, written by Sánchez de las Brozas (vor 1552–1632), deserves a place of honor in linguistic literature, since it is one of the first epistemological and critical grammar books. For more than two centuries it was regarded as one of the best books on Latin grammar. It is the product of the author‹s long-standing successful career as a professor of rhetoric, Latin and Greek at the University of Salamanca.
