Jean Tinguely began addressing his letter collages to conductor Paul Sacher in 1973. These letters, part of a long series to his wife Maja Sacher, reflect the warm and eventful nature of their friendship over the years. Both artists are significant figures in the artistic life of the century, with Tinguely known for kinetic art and Sacher for contemporary music.
