“At the dawn of the new millenium, Thomas Labarthe discovered Jean Dubuffet at the Pompidou Centre. This posthumous encounter, through a retrospective, was ‘like an electric shock, but also a revelation’. Three months later, the young Labarthe painted Mala Bestia, his first canvas. ...
