Their meeting is accidental. Kanre is a servant without extraordinary skills, Jarrak is the heir of one of the most powerful families of magic makers. A deadly disease is spreading across the country, war is threatening from the southern border, conspiracies are brewing in the north - and it is against this background that their destinies will become intertwined. This novel is a magical story set against the backdrop of the early modern era. But the first place here is humanity, which is given to the heroes at a heavy price. Will they rise up against the cruel social inequality, because in Fran, everyone who does not possess magic is oppressed? Will they risk entering into a battle with time or will they be forced to submit to it?
