Berthe Morisot (1841-1895) was the first female representative of Impressionism. At first she still worked strongly influenced by Manet's style. But quickly she developed her own unique handwriting. The artist increasingly became a role model for her male colleagues. Morisot's works show the bourgeois life of their time with bright colours. With over 150 illustrations, the volume shows the impressive work of the impressionist painter.
