Ford continues his campaign to help America recover from Prohibition in particular and Puritanism in general. He appeals to doctors and parents to evaluate the extensive scientific and medical data on the health benefits of alcoholic beverages--among them that drinks enhance brain functioning and drinkers have higher than average earnings--and to intervene in the public health and medical systems whose most creative approach to curbing abuse is to oppose all drinking.
