Traditional Chinese medicine holds that there is a relative adaptation of the human body to the natural environment. By integrating this holistic concept with the chronobiological theory of current western medicine, the compiler expounded Zi Wu Liu Zhu (method of Adopting Branches, Adopting Stems, Inter-Generation, Selecting Points of the Same Clan), Ling Gui Ba Fa (eight techniques of mysterious turtle), Fei Teng Ba Fa (eight techniques of soaring), and the technique of selecting points on time day by day through Yin-Yang cooperation. Definitions, origins, constitutions of various types of acupuncture, their clinical applications, and illustrative case reports were recommended.
