The reader-traveler encounters images from other times. They walk through the pristine forest of Frakto with its thousand faces of autumn, in majestic mountains like Olympus, snowy like Vasilitsa in Grevena, and lush like Grammos. They also meet the Prespa lakes and the deep waters of Aliakmonas. Somewhere, they will see a golden beach gently touching the sea. They will encounter history at the archaeological sites of Vergina, Pella, Philippi, and Dion. Houses crafted with care in Arnea and Eleftheroupoli. The design on the wall holds all the knowledge of the craftsman in Siatista. Byzantine churches are grand and imposing. The candle holders embroider the dim light in front of the icons. In the middle of the sea, the "Garden of the Virgin" stands with the imposing domes of Athos among blooming and blessed trees, tended by human hands. The reader-traveler will celebrate the grape harvest in Naoussa and come face to face with the Janissaries and the Boules of the carnival. In the renowned and hospitable Macedonian land, history still walks among the stone, water, fertile land, and sky.
