Viac o knihe
The book delves into the life and contributions of Sir Ernest Alfred Thompson Wallis Budge, an influential English Egyptologist and philologist. It highlights his extensive work with the British Museum, where he traveled to Egypt and Sudan to acquire antiquities, significantly enhancing the museum's collection of cuneiform tablets, manuscripts, and papyri. Budge's publications made ancient Near Eastern findings accessible to a broader audience, and his dedication to the field was recognized when he was knighted in 1920.
