The study explores the experiences of seven French military personnel undergoing Horse Assisted Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Qualitative interviews reveal that this therapy fosters beneficial connections between humans and horses, promoting well-being and calmness during sessions. However, the research notes limitations, such as the temporary nature of the relief experienced and the potential for symptoms to resurface. While not a standalone treatment, Horse Assisted Therapy serves as a valuable complementary approach in the broader context of PTSD care, warranting further development.
