This monograph focuses on the extinct toothed birds of North America, with significant findings nearing publication. The research has yielded a wealth of material for a series of studies on the remarkable extinct vertebrates in the region. An estimate suggests that nearly 300 new species of extinct vertebrates have been collected since 1868 and are housed in the Yale College Museum. Of these, approximately 150 have been described by the author, while others have been noted by different researchers, leaving at least half yet to be explored.
