The story of Tristan and Danika is nothing like sweet romances with happy endings. In the previous volumes of the series, you followed how two young people—a very naughty handsome man and an organized girl with ironclad principles—were brought together by a crazy, dangerous, and exhausting love. Their relationship was full of strange twists, misunderstandings, and the accompanying tension proved unbearable. The immense feelings could not overcome the brutal consequences of past mistakes. In the end, Tristan fell. Hope died, and Danika had to leave. After the drama she experienced because of her beloved, day by day she emerged from hell. She tried not to think or remember. Six long years passed, and it seemed that the wounds had healed. And then, partly out of obligation, partly against her will, they met again. Before she looked at his face, she thought their marriage was over for good. However, just a moment by Tristan's side was enough for everything Danika desperately wanted to forget to return and hit her with double force. They both knew they could not live without each other. They both understood they could not be together. They both desperately realized that to come back to each other, they would have to make a heroic effort. Danika does not know if she wants to trust again. Tristan realizes that he will never fully free himself from the demons of the past.
