Viac o knihe
This publication continues two earlier series of chronicles, edited by Raymond Klibansky, providing a survey of significant trends in contemporary philosophical discussion from 1966 to 1980. The demand for such surveys has grown, reflecting the increasing complexity of the philosophical landscape. Factors contributing to this complexity include ongoing specialization across various branches, the rise of new schools of thought—especially in philosophical logic and the philosophy of language—and the convergence of different traditions on specific problems, albeit with differing opinions. Additionally, there is a heightened focus on the history of philosophy in contemporary discussions. These surveys serve as valuable resources for understanding this complexity and may assist in renewing one's grasp of personal philosophical issues. They also aim to reinforce the Socratic element of modern philosophy, fostering dialogue and communication. Four volumes have been prepared for the new series, with the current volume focusing on the Philosophy of Mind, following earlier volumes on the Philosophy of Language and Philosophical Logic, Philosophy of Science, and Philosophy of Action.
