Viac o knihe
In 2016, the Siebold-Collegium – Institute for Advanced Studies (SCIAS) – was founded by the then president Prof. Forchel. The role model for SCIAS was the Clare Hall/College for Advanced Study in Cambridge. SCIAS is accommodated in the so-called Welz-Haus which has been the home of many different institutions of Würzburg University over the years, e.g. Ophthalmic and Maternity Hospital, Institute of Mathematics, to name only a few. After a rigorous restoration it is now the home of SCIAS, providing rooms and a lively scientific atmosphere for the guest scientists of our university. This publication tells the story of the building and the people who have worked in the Welz-Haus und at the University as well as the SCIAS activities.zeige weniger
