Irene didn't like working in a big city. She had always been a country girl and she wasn't likely to change - so she thankfully left Sydney and went to work in Tasmania, as secretary to the invalid Mrs. Marron. Romance, as it happened, was the last thing Irene was looking for - so as luck would have it, she immediately met two very attractive men! - Mrs. Marron's son Alex and her nephew, the forceful Carl Morgan. Although she sensed that Mrs. Marron would have welcomed a romance between her and Alex, it was Carl with whom Irene found herself falling in love - but what chance did she have?
