"Twelve-year old Sarah finds it very difficult to adjust to her parents' divorce. She and her siblings live with Mom, while Dad now lives with his new girlfriend and her daughters. Sarah perceives this new girlfriend to be the cause of her parents' divorce and decides to be as uncooperative and rude as possible whenever around her. Over time however, Sarah realizes that she is hurting herself more than anyone with her behavior. She starts to see her situation with new eyes and slowly begins to accept the re-organized family structure and to enjoy life again.
