Viac o knihe
Take Only as Directed is the story of a Harley Street doctor. Happily married and comfortably established, David Mortimer suddenly catches one foot in a tangle of old associations. A girl called Pat is the trouble - a neurotic childhood friend who is busy divorcing out of the aristocracy - and from Pat to murder it is only one step. When Mortimer fakes an alibi for her, it is only one step more to blackmail. In some ways it was a good thing for him that the Chief Inspector from Scotland Yard bore the old school tobacco-pouch.
