The first part of the book introduces simple concepts pertinent to the study of the environment, what the term pollution means and the role of analytical chemistry. The second section deals with pollutant dispersion, reconcentration and final degradation--important to understand in order to set up an analytical monitoring scheme. Also covers the analysis of water, solid and atmospheric samples.
