Viac o knihe

The Beginning Level texts and workbooks are the first in a comprehensive four-level series developed by experienced classroom teachers and linguists of Korean. This series emphasizes performance-based principles, focusing on learner-centeredness, contextualization, and the use of authentic materials. It balances skill acquisition and application while integrating speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural elements. Grammar is introduced systematically with clear explanations, examples, exercises, and drills. Each lesson features model dialogues, narration, new vocabulary, pronunciation notes, cultural insights, grammar, tasks, and English translations. The accompanying workbooks offer extensive skill-using activities that reinforce concepts from the main texts. This initiative is a project of the Korean Language Education and Research Center (KLEAR), supported by the Korea Foundation. Future volumes will include instructor's manuals, studies on Chinese characters, Korean composition, selected readings, modern literature, cultural insights, and a comprehensive dictionary of Korean grammar and usage.
