The atlas features a unique format with emphasis on large, well-developed, full color graphics and operative photographs, all used to demonstrate the integral steps in operative techniques. Where necessary, biochemistry, histology, surgical anatomy, physiology, pathology, and operative technique are detailed. The atlas functions as a teaching aid, a source of surgical techniques and as a rapid reference for surgeons and cardiologists learning various techniques.
