The colossal monoliths of Zion soar like awesome temples carved by some ancient, gargantuan hand -- guarded by green sentinels standing in lonely relief against the incredible blue of the Utah sky -- and streaked by endless years of mineral-laden waters that have spread like tattered draperies across the vivid walls.
