"This year's Open Doors report reflects the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic across all four of the Open Door surveys. We note the importance of Open Doors building on more than 70 years of historical trends to track international educational exchange in the United States. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic are unlike any other historical shifts in these trends and reflect the importance of expanding data collection and reporting to capture fully the impact of the pandemic." -- Page 5.
