This technical dictionary is a result of terminological work carried out by the Translation Department of Siemens AG in Erlangen and covers the field of power engineering, electrical installation and the rapidly expanding field of automation. The subjects are covered by approximately 65.000 entries in Part 1 and 52.000 entries in Part 2.Sources referred to for this dictionary VDE specifications, DIN, VDI, IEC, BS, ANSI, CEE and ISO standards, technical literature and descriptions and operating instructions from German, British and American companies. The results of the European harmonization of eletrotechnical regulations (DIN/VDE/IEC/CEE) have been taken into account.
