CAN ONE PHOTOGRAPHER CAPTURE STREET LIFE IN ALL THE WORLD'S CAPITALS IN FIVE YEARS? Ever since photojournalist Jeroen Swolfs decided as a three-year-old to set off to Paris, he has been feeling this inner urge not only to travel, but also to share his experiences with the rest of the world. It is, therefore, hardly surprising that he wanted to realize his cherished dream at all cost: Jeroen Swolfs wanted to visit every capital in the world, to capture with his camera the local street life as it is today. Streets of the World is a fascinating account of all the work that had to be done before this project could even be launched, but above all of a dream come true. To begin with, Jeroen visits and photographs fifty Asian cities, seemingly at top speed. Soon this question forces itself upon him: Are the people in Beirut, Pyongyang and Nauru really as different as we might think they are?
