"This is a glossy book, with ingredients listed in Imperial, Metric and American amounts, mostly listing ingredients most people will have to hand with only a few "exotic" things the average person wouldn't have. Published in 1977, it does have some good recipes in it, only a few of which you would expect at the local take away. One bit that is little unusual is that it has a section of one-dish meals; ideal if you one a recipe for one or two people. It is well written, with clear instructions that are easy to follow, with sections on soup, noodles,pork, beef, lamb,chicken, duck, shellfish, fish and vegetables plus a small section on regional dishes."
