This textbook is tailored to the requirements of introductory chemistry laboratory courses at universities. Using it, students will be able to acquire basic knowledge of the safety regulations when dealing with chemicals and master the techniques of preparative inorganic chemistry as well as of qualitative and quantitative analysis. They will learn to handle hazardous substances in a skilled and responsible manner. The amounts of chemical substances used have been drastically reduced while classical individual experiments have been built into networked programs. Starting materials can be recovered by recycling to save chemicals and avoid waste.
