The trend toward mixed-use skyscrapers has gained momentum, with many projects recognized as finalists in The International High-Rise Award since 2014. Features like extensive greening and high-rise clusters have become standard practice. As suitable building sites become scarce and environmental awareness rises, the focus is shifting towards the renovation of existing high-rises. This edition showcases 32 of the most compelling recently completed high-rise projects that exemplify a blend of sustainability, innovative design, and social considerations. Each project is detailed with photographs and plans, illustrating how these designs are paving the way for the future of urban architecture. The International High-Rise Award, presented biennially, has honored notable architects such as 3XN (2022), OMA (2020), and BIG (2016). Celebrating 20 years of the award, this collection emphasizes the importance of adapting existing structures alongside new constructions.
