Viac o knihe
Peter Porter is one of our most acclaimed contemporary poets. He is a past winner of both the Whitbread Poetry Prize and the coveted Australian Gold Medal for Literature. In this collection of fifty new poems, Porter addresses a great mixture of subjects, ranging from the autobiographical tothe general. The overall theme, however, is the divisiveness of language not in the world at large, but rather as seen from the "Chair of Babel" that presides over the modern academy.
