The Graveyard Girls 11

A shrill scream pierced the night air as she held aside the fluttering bedroom curtain. Her little sister trembled behind her, watching a familiar figure in a dark coat and ski hat emerge from the bushes, staring at their window. The discovery of skeletal remains in a deserted graveyard sends Detective Ellie Reeves into a chilling investigation. A haunting detail—a red shoe—mirrors that of sixteen-year-old Ruth Higgins, who vanished years ago. The town mourned Ruth, but her suspected killer, gravedigger Earl Bramble, escaped police custody and remains at large. Time is of the essence when another teenage girl, a recent runaway, is found buried with a matching red shoe, suggesting Earl has returned. Ellie visits the old clapboard house where his daughters live, but they claim ignorance about their father. As she delves deeper, she uncovers a troubling connection between one of her trusted colleagues and the gravedigger's daughters, complicating her investigation. With parents terrified and girls in danger, Ellie races against time to find the cold-hearted killer and bring him to justice before it’s too late.
