Since the beginning of mankind, the struggle between order and disorder has emerged as a central issue of our times. And from modern society's desire to impose order on the world, the opposite has disorder. From the disruption of nature to growing signs of disorder, this sixth volume by the Prix Pictet illuminates this all-important theme. Founded by the esteemed Pictet Group in 2008, the Prix Pictet has quickly established itself as the leading award in photography and sustainability--unearthing powerful images that confront pressing social and environmental topics. Through breathtaking, eye-opening photographs, Disorder not only connects readers to the heart of current sustainability debates; it also prompts them to contemplate their place in the environment's future.
