Alexander McKee sa nebál kritizovať zavedené autority a ikony vo vojenskej, politickej, ekonomickej, mediálnej aj akademickej sfére, pričom si vždy zachovával otvorenú myseľ. Bol posadnutý precíznosťou a presnosťou svojich diel, neúnavne odhaľoval a vyvracal skreslené alebo nedbalé správy a skryté agendy. S potešením, o to väčším ako samouk, poukazoval na nedostatky v integrite a na akademikov, ktorí postrádali praktické skúsenosti, a vyzýval ich, aby hľadali poznanie medzi obyčajnými ľuďmi a v reálnom svete, a svoje teórie tak empiricky testovali. Dôkladne skúmal svedectvá očitých svedkov a archívne materiály, aby odhalil pravdu skrytú za zaužívanými karikatúrami a akademickým snažením o budovanie „hradov na nebi“.

The D-Day landings of June 6th 1944 did not bring immediate victory, that first foothold on French soil was won at enormous cost and for the next two months a fierce battle raged for control of the key town of Caen. In July, 1816, a French frigate ran aground on a sandbar forty miles off the coast of Africa. Forced to abandon ship, 150 men and women embarked on an overloaded makeshift raft. After twelve days of riots, mutiny, murder, and, ultimately, cannibalism, only fifteen were alive.
In the early hours of Saturday, October 14th, 1939, just after the outbreak of the War, the Royal Navy suffered a stunning loss. The battleship Royal Oak, stationed inside the main base of the Home Fleet at Scapa Flow, was shaken by a number of explosions. She became a furnace, rolled over and within minutes, had gone to the bottom, with nearly 800 men trapped inside. This daring feat of arms was eagerly seized upon by the Nazi propaganda service and they acclaimed Lieutenant Prien of U-47 as their first hero of the War. Hero because he had penetrated the defenses of ‘Impregnable Scapa’, where every previous attempt had failed.
