Tom Waits je americký písničkář, hudebník, skladatel a herec. Za alba Bone Machine a Mule Variations získal Grammy a za hudbu k filmu One from the Heart byl v roce 1983 nominován na Oscara. V roce 2016 obdrželi Waits a jeho manželka Kathleen Brennanová literární ocenění PEN za písňový text. V roce 2011 byl Waits uveden do Rock&rollov;é síně slávy.
