V sedmém čísle Poutníka najde čtenář povídku Roberta Ervina Howarda Ďábel v železo vtělený (v té době česky doposud nevydanou), další příběh z Dobrodružství Vesmírného ohaře – Riimové – a nakonec povídku Gustava Gaspariniho Dale 3000.
With the publication, in the July 1941 issue of Astounding Science Fiction magazine, of the story Seesaw, van Vogt began unfolding the complex tale of the oppressive Empire of Isher and the mysterious Weapon Shops. This volume, The Weapon Shops of Isher, includes the first three parts of the saga and introduces perhaps the most famous political slogan of science fiction: The Right to Buy Weapons is the Right to Be Free. Born at the height of Nazi conquest, the Isher stories suggested that an oppressive government could never completely subjugate its own citizens if they were well armed. The audience appeal was immediate and has endured long beyond other stories of alien invasion, global conflict and post war nuclear angst.
V pátém čísle poutníka začíná první část Dobrodružství Vesmírného ohaře od A. E. van Vogta, nazvaná Zorl. Dále sešit nabízí povídky Gustava Gaspariniho Nebezpečná planeta a Meč s Fénixem od Roberta Ervina Howarda. Poslední část Poutníka je věnována Asimovovu vesmíru.
V šestém čísle sešitové řady Poutník pokračuje dobrodružství kosmické lodi Vesmírný ohař v části nazvané Ixtl. Od Roberta Ervina Howarda přinášíme druhou část Nemedijských kronik. Další dvě povídky jsou od českých autorů – Ivan Adamovič popisuje v Posledním Cimmeřanovi svou návštěvu u R. E. Howarda a Carola Biedermannová s Janem Pavlíkem se v příběhu Přátelé z onoho světa věnují setkání Conana s kapitánem Kirkem z kosmické lodi Enterprise.
Sbírka povídek Netvor a jiní vetřelci zahrnuje třináct různých příběhů. Všechny mají společné rysy v tom, že pojednávají o střetu člověka s mimozemskou civilizací v daleké budoucnosti. V některých povídkách se lidé musí bránit útokům cizích ras, v jiných jsou naopak útočníky sami.
