Since March 2000, the children's movement "On Their Own Feet" has collaborated with members of the Czech Army's peacekeeping units, primarily engaged in foreign operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Founded in 1990 by Běla Gran Jensen, a Czech living in Norway, the movement was initially supported by then-President Václav Havel. The book "We Only Fly Together to War" is not a list of joint successes between the army and the movement. Instead, it is a collection of memories from soldiers who have come to understand that a child's smile is one of the highest values worth fighting for, alongside reflections from children who have not remained indifferent to the horrors of war that rob their friends of smiles in various corners of the world. It is also filled with expressions of gratitude and mutual respect.

Co-operation between the Armed forces of the Czech Republic and the movement, "Centipede". This wonderful co-operation between the Czech soldiers and the children results in schools being opened or hospitals given equipment in Bosnia or Kosovo.
