    Vera Chapmanová, známa aj ako Belladonna Pútniková, bola zakladateľkou Tolkienovej spoločnosti. Bola jednou z prvých žien, ktoré boli prijaté ako plnoprávne členky Oxfordskej univerzity. Neskôr presvedčila J. R. R. Tolkiena, aby sa stal čestným prezidentom spoločnosti. Chapmanová je autorkou viacerých pseudo-historických a artušovských kníh. Svoje diela písala od polovice sedemdesiatych rokov až do svojej smrti v roku 1996.
