From February to June 2023, an extensive exhibition in Amsterdam showcases 28 of the 37 known works by the Dutch artist Vermeer. This richly illustrated companion volume explores all of the artist's known works in light of the latest research findings. It offers a glimpse into a quiet, intimate world of 17th-century daily life that captivates the viewer. The book provides a surprisingly fresh perspective on Vermeer's art and the artist himself, featuring essays by renowned art historians and designed by the acclaimed book designer Irma Boom.
