Dom Juan alebo Kamenný host je komédia Molièra v piatich aktách a v próze. Dom Juan, mladý šľachtic, hromadí milostné dobyvačnosti, zvádzajúc nielen mladé šľachtičny, ale aj slúžky. Zaujíma ho iba dobytie a opúšťa mladé ženy hneď, ako ich zvádza. "Hypokritizmus je módny vice a všetky módne vice sa považujú za cnosti": takto sa Dom Juan ospravedlňuje svojmu sluhovi Sganarellovi, ktorý je pobúrený, že jeho pán klame všetkých okolo seba, od najnaivnejších žien, ktoré bez hanby zvádza, po najváženejších mužov, ktorých vedie za nos bez zaváhania. Dom Juan má len jednu ambíciu: užívať si všetky pôžitky, bez toho, aby sa poddal sirénam morálky. Potrebuje všetky rozkoše a získava ich ľahko manipulovaním svojich obetí klamlivými slovami. Iba smrť by ho mohla zastaviť: nie je to práve ona, ktorá prichádza po neho, keď sa socha veliteľa oživí pred jeho očami? Dom Juan, známy zhýralec alebo poučený epikurejec, vyvolal všetky debaty, polemiky a analýzy, a opäť je to Molière, ktorého tlieskajú, pretože nemá obdobu v odhaľovaní a posmechu, napoly horkého, napoly posmešného, neduhom spoločnosti.

Hra Mizantrop - všeobecne sa dnes konštatuje, že práve tejto hre venoval Moliére najväčšiu starostlivosť, ako by šlo o hru jemu najbližšiu, najmilšiu a najdrahšiu. A všeobecne sa dnes pokladá táto komédia za Moliérovo vrcholné dielo. Lakomec - neveršovaná komédia v 5. dejstvách. Patrí medzi nižšie klasicistické žánre. Vysmieva sa lakomstvu, ktoré deformuje charakter človeka. Dej sa odohráva vo francúzskom meste Paríž. Autor v tomto diele poukazuje na negatívne vlastnosti hlavnej postavy, stvárnenej Harpagonom, a to je lakomstvo a pokrytectvo. Harpagon je veľmi skúpy a lakomý človek, ktorý nedožičí ani svojim deťom.

Sa fille Angélique est amoureuse de Cléante, mais Argan veut la marier à Thomas Diafoirus, un médecin qui ne vaut rien, qui peut assurer à son beau-père des soins de santé pour la durée de sa vie. Cléante se déguise en professeur de musique pour pouvoir voir son amour, mais Béline, la deuxième épouse d’Argan, menace de les dénoncer. Une Toinette déguisée, des sages conseils de son frère Béralde, et une scène de mort truquée, vont enfin montrer à Argan qui il peut faire confiance.
