    Jill Tomlinsonová sa nikdy nechcela stať spisovateľkou. Vyštudovala operný spev a potom sa rozhodla založiť si rodinu, zatiaľ čo jej hlas dozrieval. Choroba však zasiahla a ona si musela nájsť iný outlet pre svoju energiu. Začala študovať žurnalistiku a už po tretej lekcii sa rozhodla, že chce písať pre deti. A tak aj urobila! Jej zvieracie príbehy sú veľmi obľúbené a sú najpredávanejšími detskými knihami takmer štyri desaťročia.
