A young dead woman in a dream triggers a memory in our unnamed narrator. Through an intimate monologue, we learn of her past fascination for a man inherently violent that made her constantly feel guilty of his failures and insecurities. A damaged, unhappy and destructive lover that in a brutal scene, brings back yet another memory.
