Together with his colleague Cholodnij, Samson is tasked with investigating illegal meat sales. However, as they begin their work, Samson's girlfriend Nadjeschda is taken captive by striking railway workers. Samson immediately sets out to rescue her. But what is the motive of the railway workers? And why has the enigmatic Chekist Abjasow been assigned to the police? These are questions Samson must answer if he hopes to solve his case and save Nadjeschda.
