Vyrastal som na Stredozápade a nemal som ani tušenie, že sa jedného dňa stanem spisovateľom. Postupne som však cítil potrebu rozprávať svoje vlastné príbehy a písaním vysvetľovať, ako vnímam svet. Dnes som spisovateľom na plný úväzok s 13 románmi, mnohými poviedkami a dvoma filmovými adaptáciami. Rád navštevujem školy a knižnice a zdieľam to, čo som sa naučil o písaní.
