The study investigates the toxicokinetics of imidacloprid in male albino rats after a single oral dose. Using HPLC, researchers quantified imidacloprid residues and analyzed its distribution and elimination through a non-compartmental model. Results indicated that urine contained the highest concentration of the insecticide, followed by blood and other organs. Biochemical alterations revealed significant increases in liver and kidney function parameters correlating with imidacloprid accumulation, which eventually decreased by the study's conclusion. The study highlights the utility of toxicokinetic modeling in understanding chemical impacts.
