Ich slovná zásoba zodpovedá deťom, ktoré sa ešte len učia čítať, alebo dokonca i mladším, pre ktoré ju môžu čítať ich rodičia. Pomocou týchto krátkych príbehov si naši mladí čitatelia a zvedavé malé hviezdičky rodiny dokážu zlepšiť svoju pozornosť a sústrediť sa na niečo, čo im niekto druhý rozpráva alebo číta. Tieto rozprávky zozbieral škótsky básnik Andrew Lang. Spolu ich bolo vyše 400 a publikoval ich v 12 knihách, ktoré sú známe ako Farebné rozprávkové knihy (The Coloured Fairy Books). O preklad do slovenčiny a spracovanie každej poviedky, aby čo najviacej upútala našich mladších slovenských čitateľov a ich rodičov či starých rodičov, sa postaral Róbert Hodoši. A okrem toho a nakoniec, o plnohodnotný a krajší zážitok z týchto rozprávok sa postaral vynikajúci rozprávkový ilustrátor Branislav Rusnáčik, ktorý vám priblíži dej každej rozprávky svojimi pozoruhodnými kresbami, ktoré vás stiahnu rovno do deja.
