    Epiktétos bol grécky stoický filozof, ktorého učenie sa sústredilo na filozofiu ako spôsob života. Zdôrazňoval, že zatiaľ čo vonkajšie udalosti sú mimo našej kontroly a riadi ich osud, môžeme ich prijímať s pokojom a vyrovnanosťou.
