Das nachfolgende Gebetbüchlein für Reisende trägt den Namen "Raphael" von dem Reisebegleiter des jungen Tobias in dem allbekannten schönen apokryphischen Buche. Der Name war bequem und in den Lebenskreisen des Verfassers als Name für den Engel des Herrn, welcher die Reisenden schützt, so geläufig geworden, daß es kein Wagnis zu sein schien, ihn auf den Titel unseres Büchleins zu setzen. Es finden sich darin sowohl die traditionellen Psalmen, Morgen- und Abendgebete, als auch vieles aus der Feder des Verfassers, welches er im Laufe seiner eigenen Reisen zu Papier brachte. So möge dieses Büchlein dem frommen Christen auf seinen Wanderungen geistlichen Nutzen und Segen bescheren.
