V Engelsforse sa schyľuje k zúčtovaniu. Neprešiel ani mesiac od tragédie v telocvični engelsforského gymnázia, no vyvoleným nebude dopriata ani chvíľa odpočinku. V roku 2015 sa čitatelia dočkajú aj jej filmovej podoby a, neprekvapivo, bude snímok zo švédskej filmovej dielne. Vyvolené majú nastúpiť do druhého ročníka gymnázia. Celé letné prázdniny tŕpli v očakávaní ďalšieho kroku zo strany démonov. Hrozba však príde z miesta, ktoré by im nenapadlo ani vo sne. Je čoraz očividnejšie, že v Engelsforse sa deje čosi veľmi, veľmi zlé. Minulosť sa prelína s budúcnosťou. Živí stretávajú mŕtvych. Vyvolené sú čoraz zomknutejšie a opäť sa presviedčajú, že mágia neuľaví nešťastnej láske ani nezhojí zlomené srdce.
