Presque vingt ans plus tard, elle mène une petite vie tranquille, un peu fade, seule avec sa fille Emma, et travaille au supermarché local. Quand cette dernière part à l'université, Anita commence à prendre des leçons de moto, se lance dans un projet impossible, renoue le contact avec sa mère légèrement sénile, et tombe follement amoureuse.
